Back to GABAsics

OK, stupid title, I know. It just popped into my head and I couldn’t let it go.

Anyway, I just wanted to officially announce that I’m going to get back on schedule with my GABA and Omega-3 Fish Oil supplements. I didn’t really take them long enough before to know whether they were making a difference with my ADD symptoms, but all those things I was tracking on my Progress Chart did seem to be helping me, so it’s about time I stop looking at that bottle of supplements on my desk every day, and start using them.

I’ll let you know if I notice a difference!

I take Omega 3s about 5 times a week, daily is a little too much. It definitely helps out the ol’ brain.

I’ve tried GABA as well, it has a nice mental clarity effect, but seems to only last a few hours. It’s fairly mild as well, you really have to be in touch with your brain to notice an effect.

Good luck, and let us know how it goes!

Oh, and don’t be afraid of taking 750mg, that’s a mild dose. There have been studies where the participants were given 5g+ of GABA daily without ill effects (actual quite good effects). It’s a very very safe neuroinhibitor.

I came across your site looking for information on GABA for my blog about my own ADD. I have the 750mg GABA from GNC. I don’t take it too often because it can be too calming for me. I get sleepier and tired on it however I do notice that I’m more patient and don’t get angry as easy. I’m planning on buying a lower dosage to see how that works. I love your site and will check back in the future. I take Piracetam also and see a difference with that also.
